Terms of Service
Short version: Be 13+ (or have parent permission). Don't try to break the service or access other people's data. We can suspend abusive accounts. We provide the service "as is" and aren't liable for indirect damages. Disputes resolved per the laws of the United States.
1. Eligibility
Forge.tennis supports junior tennis athletes of every age. Athletes 13 and over may create their own account directly; we recommend parent or guardian awareness for users under 18, and the signup flow includes an age acknowledgement. Athletes under 13 may use Forge through a Family Account, where a parent or legal guardian creates the account, provides verifiable parental consent under COPPA, and manages the account on the junior's behalf until they turn 13.
2. Your account
You're responsible for safeguarding your password and for activity on your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to access another user's data without authorization.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service except via authorized security research.
- Submit malicious content (XSS, SQL injection, etc.) — even though our defenses block it, attempts violate these terms.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape data en masse.
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or violate the rights of others.
4. Your content
The data you log (matches, practices, photos, notes) belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it as needed to operate the service. When you generate a shared report, you authorize us to deliver that report to the recipient you specify.
5. Intellectual property
The Forge.tennis name, logo, software, and curated content (drill catalog, assessment questions, opponent archetypes, coaching intelligence) are our intellectual property. You receive a personal, non-transferable license to use them via the app.
6. Pro features
Some features are part of a Pro tier and may be enabled per-account by an administrator. Free-tier features (Home, Goals, Assessment, Matches, Tournaments, Insights surface) are always available. Pricing for Pro features will be communicated separately when billing is enabled.
7. Service availability
We aim for high availability but don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance and incidents will be communicated in-app via the release-notes overlay.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Account & Sign-in. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; in serious cases we may do so without notice.
9. Disclaimer
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. UTR estimates, recommendations, and benchmarks are informational and don't constitute coaching, medical, or recruiting advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forge.tennis is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts of California, USA.
12. Changes
We may update these terms over time. Material changes trigger a re-consent prompt on your next sign-in. Continued use after material changes constitutes acceptance.
